I’m Rama and this is return to tech, a newsletter for people looking to return to a tech career after a long break.

If you look around the internet for advice, one of the top results on Google includes choice quotes such as, “If you take a hiatus, you could sacrifice your career”, and “More than five years, you'd be facing an uphill battle.” Well, that’s reassuring (/sarcasm).

Anyway, I’m coming up on the seven year mark since I quit my job and I’m about to start the uphill climb. And I keep thinking, surely, I’m not alone (and neither are you)! So this newsletter is just a way to find others like me so we can lift each other up as we go. I’m still figuring things out but subscribe and I promise to have updates soon!
